Interest In Electric Vehicles Rises With Gas Prices [CHART]
About eight in 10 (78%) of US consumers would consider purchasing an electric vehicle (EV) when fuel prices reach $5 per gallon, according to an April 2011 study from Deloitte. Results of “Gaining Traction” indicate that consumer interest in EVs steadily rises with fuel prices, with nearly 100% of consumers willing to consider an EV purchase if fuel prices surpass $7 per gallon.
