Now the Chevy Volt sports two modified Galaxy Tab tablets that support wireless streaming movies. There is also the ability for tablet-to-tablet gaming, USA Today says. On the night of the Hatsune Miku event and the augmented reality launch, Toyota saw a 600% percent increase in Toyota Shopping Tool app downloads. After the first night's spike, app downloads continued to outperform normal download rates throughout the week. Additionally, Corolla leads jumped by 30% that week, and time spent on the one Corolla/Miku web page outpaced time spent on the entire Corolla section of Toyota.com (including customization tools, pricing pages and demo videos).

TV remains the most popular device for viewing video content, according to [pdf] a market research brief based on a December 2010 survey from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). CEA research finds nine in ten (93%) US households view content on a TV, followed by computers (49%), car video entertainment (13%), cell phones/smartphones (13%) and MP3 players (11%).
